TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.

What You Trade On

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is there for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly coming. That will be a good addition once it is live.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.

Regulation

Now, the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform your assessment.

The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
